About OHHH

Helping people understand, protect and improve their oral health through education, prevention, professional care and evidence-based treatment.

Why OHHH Exists

OHHH (Oral Health & Hygiene Hub) was created from a simple belief: everyone deserves to understand their oral health and how it can influence their overall health and wellbeing.

For many people, oral health is something that’s only thought about when there’s pain or an obvious problem. But good oral healthcare is about much more than reacting when something goes wrong. Education, prevention, early diagnosis and appropriate treatment all have an important role to play in protecting your oral health throughout life.

As our understanding of oral health continues to develop, research continues to highlight important associations between the health of our mouths and wider health, including areas such as diabetes, cardiovascular health and pregnancy.

OHHH brings together professional care with clear, evidence-based education, helping people understand what’s happening in their mouths, recognise when something may need attention and make informed decisions about their health.

And if something doesn’t feel right, or you’re simply unsure, you don’t have to figure it out yourself. We’re here to help.

Our Philosophy

At OHHH, everything we do is built around three simple principles.

Oral Health & Hygiene Hub Cork

Education

Knowledge empowers better choices.
We believe that understanding your oral health is the first step towards improving it. By providing clear, evidence-based information in everyday language, we help people feel informed, confident and in control of their oral health.

Prevention

Earlier action can make a meaningful difference.
We focus on helping people develop healthy habits, identify potential concerns early and access appropriate professional care when it’s needed, supporting better oral health throughout every stage of life.

Whole Body Health

A healthy mouth supports a healthy body.
Your oral health is closely connected to your overall wellbeing. By looking after your mouth, you’re also supporting your long-term health, confidence and quality of life.

More Than Just Teeth

Oral health is often reduced to brushing, flossing and visiting the dentist. While these are all important, they are only part of the picture.

Your mouth is home to a complex ecosystem known as the oral microbiome. When this delicate ecosystem becomes disrupted, it can be associated with oral health problems including inflammation and gum disease. Research is also continuing to explore the relationship between the oral microbiome and wider health

At OHHH, we believe that understanding this connection changes the way people think about oral health. It’s no longer simply about caring for your teeth – it’s about caring for yourself.

Dr Nora Kearney, founder of OHHH, smiling in a modern and welcoming environment that reflects her approachable, preventative approach to oral health.

Meet Nora

OHHH was founded by Dr Nora Kearney, a dentist with a longstanding passion for oral health that extends far beyond traditional dentistry.

Throughout her career, Nora has developed a particular interest in gum health, prevention and the relationship between oral health and overall wellbeing. She believes patients deserve clear, honest and evidence-based guidance that helps them understand not only what is happening with their oral health, but why it matters and what they can do about it.

That commitment to continued learning has led Nora to begin a three-year Master’s in Periodontology at UCL Eastman Dental Institute in London, further developing her knowledge in the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the supporting structures of the teeth.

For Nora, this is also the beginning of another chapter for OHHH. As she progresses through her postgraduate studies, she hopes to share aspects of what she is learning through the Oral Health Library, helping make current thinking and evidence around gum and periodontal health more accessible to patients.

Her philosophy is at the heart of OHHH: keep learning, share that knowledge clearly, identify problems as early as possible and help people make better-informed decisions about their oral health.

Clodagh Cleary, Dental Hygienist at OHHH Oral Health & Hygiene Hub.

Meet Clodagh

Clodagh Cleary is a Dental Hygienist with a particular passion for prevention, patient education and helping people feel comfortable and confident about their oral health.

Before qualifying as a Dental Hygienist, Clodagh spent five years working as a Dental Nurse, gaining extensive experience in the clinical environment and developing a strong understanding of patient care. She went on to study Dental Hygiene at University College Cork (UCC), graduating in 2026.

Her combined experience allows Clodagh to take a caring and holistic approach to oral healthcare, with a particular focus on helping patients understand their oral health and develop practical habits that support it over the long term.

Clodagh is also leading the introduction of Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) within OHHH, bringing an evidence-led approach to professional biofilm management and preventative oral care.

Above all, Clodagh wants patients to feel at ease, informed and supported throughout their care.

Our Approach

Every patient is different, which is why oral healthcare should never take a one-size-fits-all approach.

Whether you’re visiting us for professional oral healthcare, a gum health assessment, preventative care or because something doesn’t feel quite right, our approach always begins with listening and understanding.

Where appropriate, this may include professional assessment, diagnosis, preventative guidance, treatment and personalised recommendations based on your individual oral health needs.

Just as importantly, we’ll explain what we’re seeing and why we’re recommending a particular approach, so that you can understand your oral health and feel confident in the decisions you make about your care.

We’re here to build lasting relationships and support long-term oral health, not simply provide one-off treatments.
